DELFT Aqua Solution

Rainwater left in the fluting of roof plates during construction often causes water damage. An innovative production process allows us to provide our roof plates with drainage holes directly during rolling. We market our latest type of roof plate under the name 'DELFT Aqua Solution'. With this, we meet the need of contractors, subcontractors, installers, assembly companies and property developers to prevent water accumulation during construction.

Ready-made solution

It is time-consuming and costly to drill holes in roof plates that are already installed. The DELFT Aqua Solution roof plates obviate this need. These plates are therefore an efficient and cost-saving solution.

Listening to the customer

Emile van Hout, Head of Sales at Delft Profielen and involved in the development of the 'DELFT Aqua Solution' explains: "Thanks to conversations with our customers and listening to their input, we came up with the idea of providing roof plates with drainage holes already during the production process. This saves a lot of time and manpower during assembly on site, i.e. costs. It is amazing really, that we or others had not thought of that before."

No more water damage for Unibouw

Stefan Swinkels, Head of Realisation at Unibouw in Gemert, the Netherlands, is delighted with this innovative production technique: "We had been aware of the demand for drainage holes in the fluting of the roof plates for some time. You notice that nowadays, industrial buildings for the logistics sector in particular are getting bigger and bigger. Processing steel roof plates is considerably faster than wind- and waterproofing a roof. After windproofing, it could take a week before a roof was waterproofed as well. With large roofs, the slope no longer goes to the external walls, so all the moisture stays in the fluting. This leads to regular water damage during and after completion. With the Aqua Solution roof plates from Delft Profielen, that is a thing of the past, I am glad to say."

Efficient and safe

"The DELFT Aqua Solution roof plates save us a lot of implementation problems and extra costs," Swinkels added. "We deliver many warehouses, and moisture there is the last thing you want! Assembly is also more efficient and re-drilling is no longer necessary. Unibouw therefore decided to switch completely to using the Aqua Solution roof plates. You just get a bit less plate for the same money," Swinkels jokes.

Synergy in construction

"In recent years, Unibouw has become a serious player in the logistics sector. We unburden the end user by working with established construction partners. It is great to see how we work together to deliver the highest quality end result. Just like all the industry's expertise has been bundled now too, resulting in the Aqua Solution roof plates," Swinkels concludes.
